- The General Assembly
- The Executive Committee, composed of the Secretary-General, the Chairpersons of the five Sub-Committees, and three leading experts in science and culture.
- Five Sub-Committees corresponding to the major program areas of UNESCO, namely: (1) Education; (2) Sciences; (3) Culture; (4) Communication-Information; and (5) Transdisciplinary Programs - Cross Cutting Themes

| Members/Composition | The National Commission is composed of 45 members representing the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Romanian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Water, Forest and Environmental Protection, and other institutions and creative arts unions. The Commission meets in Plenary at least once a year. |
