Workshop on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding in Kiribati (Tarawa, 7- 10 February 2011)

From 07-02-2011 to 10-02-2011 (Kiribati) 

This Workshop will discuss a strategy and action plan for strengthening the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) safeguarding in Kiribati by using guidelines and tools made available under the UNESCO Programme in this field. The Workshop will also examine the opportunity presented by the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. National presentations on different aspects of the ICH Safeguarding will be planned for the 2nd day of the Workshop.

This Workshop will be held in cooperation with the Kiribati National Commission for UNESCO with financial assistance under the UNESCO/Japanese Funds-in-Trust.
