Workshop on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding in Marshall Islands (Majuro, 27 - 29 June 2011)

From 27-06-2011 to 29-06-2011 (Marshall Islands) 

This Workshop will discuss a strategy and action plan for strengthening the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) safeguarding in Marshall Islands by using guidelines and tools made available under the UNESCO Programme in this field. The Workshop will also examine the opportunity presented by the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Presentations by national experts on different aspects of the ICH safeguarding will be planned for the 2nd day of the Workshop.

The Workshop will be organised in cooperation with the Marshall Islands National Commission for UNESCO and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.
