Singapore

Singapore became the 193rd Member State of UNESCO on 8 October 2007, rejoining the Organization after an absence of 22 years.

Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister of State for Education and Minister of State for Manpower, will lead Singapore’s delegation to the 34th Session of UNESCO’s General Conference, which is to take place in Paris from 16 October to 3 November 2007.
