This Workshop is organised by the UNEP International Global Waters Assessment (GIWA).

Three HELP basins will be represented during this workshop and a global presentation of the programme will be made.

The HELP, GIWA and VASTRA programmes experiences will serve as a basis for discussions on different aspects of IWRM from river basins management and will focus on visions and actions for the next steps to be taken for the global sustainability on water issues as well as on how to coordinate IWRM activities with treu integration of socio-economic issues all in combination with capacity building.
