    The aim of the conference was to bring together river basin professionals and reserachers to critically discuss the tools of IWRM applied at the basin level.    

    The conference focused on 6 themes:

    Water productivity - methodologies and management

    Environmental flow assessment

    Rainwater harvesting and micro irrigation

    Water governance and institutions

    Water economics and livelihoods

    Modelling and Decision Aid Tools

    There also has been a Workshop oof the Comprehensive Assessment of Water Management in Agriculture (CGIAR-IWMI programme).
