Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO

In response to UNESCO’s call for active participation by national commissions for UNESCO in the implementation of IYB, several have developed plans in support of the Year. These plans have been tailored to the specific needs of national targeted audiences and shall be seen as the result of a decentralized approach to a global effort to promote the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. Here the example of the Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO is presented. More
