The Sustainable Development in Coastal Regions and Small Islands (CSI) project that Croatia is currently involved in aims to stimulate partnerships between small historic coastal cities such as Omisalj in order to share complementary experiences and technical expertise.
The country is also participating in several earth sciences-related projects, one of which studies the coastal vulnerability related to sea level change, a subject of particular importance to the coastal country.
