The country is covered by the UNESCO National Office in Brazzaville.

UNESCO is assisting the Government of Congo in formulating a national Science and Technology Policy.

The country is also involved in the Great Apes Survival Project (GRASP), the 1st concerted approach ever developed to face a major extinction crisis. Through the project, scientific research is carried out to generate information necessary for the survival of great apes and their habitat and genuine partnerships are established between all stakeholders of the fragile ecosystems where the apes live to allow for integrated management of these areas.

Below you can access the projects that are currently being implemented in Congo within the framework of UNESCO’s Natural Sciences Sector.
