The country participates in the Reducing Earthquake Losses in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (RELEMR) programme with the purpose of assessing, evaluating and reducing expected earthquake losses.

It is also involved in a project that studies coastal vulnerability to sea level change, a key issue in Cyprus. Below you can access the projects that are currently being implemented in the country within the framework of UNESCO’s Natural Sciences Sector.
