Denmark is involved in a number of earth sciences research projects, from the study of selenide deposits to that of submarine mass movements.
The North-East Greenland Biosphere Reserve, covering 97,200,000 hectares, is the largest biosphere reserve in the world. Series of background ecosystem data is being generated there through a long-term monitoring programme at the Zackenberg permanent research station.

Below you can access the projects that are currently being implemented in the country within the framework of UNESCO’s Natural Sciences Sector.
