Tropical Forests

Tropical forests host millions of ecosystems and half of the world's plant and animal species. They are under threat globally from badly managed development activities, like logging, clearing for settlements and road building. UNESCO promotes economically viable and ecologically sound management of these forests. Work notably spans research, conservation and training.
