Mauritius Meteorological Services organized in March 2010 an open door day with an educational exhibition to celebrate World Meteorological day and the 50th anniversary of the IOC.

The theme of the exhibition was "60 Years of Services for your Well-being and Safety" and "50 Years of Marine Services and Research".

A forum comprising the Ministry of Industry and Fisheries, the Mauritius Oceanography Institute, the Ministry of Environment and National Development Unit led by the Mauritius Meteorological Services/National Oceanographic Data Center was organized on 23 March 2010. A Souvenir Cap with the IOC 50th anniversary logo was distributed on this occasion. See Programme
