European Coalition of Cities Against Racism (ECCAR)
The European Coalition of Cities against Racism was launched on the occasion of the 4th European Conference of Cities for Human Rights, which was held in Nuremberg (Germany), in December 2004. 97 municipalities from 20 countries of Europe have joined this initiative since its launching.
 

Its objective is to establish a network of cities interested in sharing experiences in order to improve their policies to fight racism, discrimination and xenophobia.

How to join the European Coalition of Cities Against Racism ?

A letter, signed by the mayor or an authorized representative, has to be sent to the Steering Committee of the ECCAR to request membership in the ECCAR. The municipality becomes a member if the Steering Committee approves the request by simple majority.

The letter has to be addressed to the Administrative Secretariat of the ECCAR at:
