Student Organisations
These international students associations participate in COMEST (World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology) Youth Forums and have the opportunity to question COMEST members on the crucial ethical questions of our times. This interaction has been key in recommending a university curriculum on Ethics of Science and Technology.

To read more on the Forum of young African researchers ‘Ethical and Social responsibilities of Researchers in Africa’ held as part of the 2006 session of the Comest, in Dakar, Senegal, please click here.

The student NGOs are a particularly valuable partner in co-authoring publications of specific scientific content and in developing related campaigns and training programmes. For example, IFMSA and IPSF also participated in the development of the Information kit ‘HIV/AIDS and Human Rights, Young people in Action’ and related trainings organized in the context of the UNESCO Youth Initiative on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights.
