World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM)
www.scout.org

UNESCO and WOSM have been partners for many years, and UNESCO regularly participates in the World Scout Jamborees. 2007 is the 100th anniversary of the creation of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement and to mark this occasion, the 2007 World Scout Jamboree will be held in the UK in August, and will be a huge meeting of Scouts, Scout leaders, NGOs, IGOs, interested parties, people involved in scouting and day visitors (40000 participants and 80000 day visitors!).

UNESCO will contribute to the Global Development Village with a series of four workshops, run by different UNESCO sectors:
  • Discovering Your World Heritage
  • Education for Sustainable Development: what it means, and how can we contribute?
  • Youth speak out about sex and HIV in your community!
  • Exploring Values in Sport
