Youth – Partners: Cooperation with UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations

The UNESCO Club movement comprises more than 3,600 associations, centres and UNESCO clubs in 90 countries throughout the world.

Its volunteer membership base shares a commitment to UNESCO’s ideals and works to put them into practice on the ground through concrete action. The Clubs play a key role in fostering and supporting young people’s participation in civil society through a wide range of activities. “Youth Opens the Space” Following up on the recommendations of the UNESCO Euro-Mediterranean Youth Forum, the UNESCO Information Centre of the University of Wroclaw in Poland organized an Open Space Conference on Intercultural, Civic and Peace Education. The Open Space Conference was held from 4 to 8 of July 2007 in Wroclaw (Poland) and brought together young people from all over the Euro-Mediterranean region and the Caucasus.
