Mozambique – Orphans in Maputo
This project allows orphans aged 0 to 5 to enjoy not only food, good health and hygiene, but also adequate psychological and educational care.

The project, designed as a tripartite partnership between the Provincial Direction of Women and Social Action for the city of Maputo, the Orphanage Infatario 1° de Maio and UNESCO’s Maputo Office, creates assists 65 children in the orphanage. During their stay at the orphanage the children are given the chance to acquire basic knowledge, develop language and communication skills as well as to explore sensorial and motor capacities through dance and musical education, arts instruction etc.
