The Conference explored the link between the media and education as well as on their contribution to an increasingly robust dialogue for the construction of a culture of human rights in the context of Latin America and the Caribbean.

It seeked to reaffirm the Universal Declaration as a commitment to dignity and justice for all, one which applies to everyone, everywhere. In addition, several cultural side events were organized during this three-day Conference.
