Problem orientation:

  • Increase in discrimination, racism, and xenophobia;
  • cultural rights of migrants are suppressed;
  • societal integration is facing difficulties.
UNESCO's objective:

  • Promote the value of cultural diversity in multicultural societies and
  • improve the balance between policies promoting diversity and policies promoting integration.
