The Plenary Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, from 8 to 9 June 2009.

Plenary Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS)The CIGEPS Plenary Session was convened to discuss the refocus and reform of the current Committee together with the activities of its working groups. Its purpose was to decide on future orientations for CIGEPS, within the framework of physical education and sport. The two day session generated recommendations for future action.

The meeting gathered representatives from UNESCO Member States, the UN system, regional bodies, IGOs, NGOs, and international experts.
