Fourth Session of the Intergovernmental Bioethics Committee (IGBC)
IGBC held its Fourth Session at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, on 24 and 25 January 2005.

Within the framework of the elaboration of a declaration on universal norms on bioethics and in keeping with the Timetable for the elaboration, approved by the Executive Board of UNESCO, the Fourth Session of IGBC mainly focused on the future declaration. It was immediately followed by a Joint Session of the International Bioethics Committee (IBC) and IGBC and by an Extraordinary Session of IBC.
