Joint Session of the International Bioethics Committee (IBC) and the Intergovernmental Bioethics Committee (IGBC)
IBC and IGBC held a Joint Session at UNESCO Headquarters, in Paris, on 26 and 27 January 2005.

Within the framework of the elaboration of a declaration on universal norms on bioethics and in keeping with the Timetable for the elaboration, approved by the Executive Board of UNESCO, IBC and IGBC held a Joint Session, which was the occasion to examine the Fourth Outline of the future declaration, in the light of the Recommendations of the Fourth Session of IGBC. The Joint Session has been immediately followed by the Extraordinary Session of IBC.
