UNESCO celebrates International Women's Day - 8 March 2005Every year on 8 March, both at and away from Headquarters, UNESCO celebrates International Women’s Day.

This year, in connection with the celebrations of International Women’s Day and the 10th anniversary of the World Conference on Women in Beijing (China), UNESCO is organizing throughout the month a series of events, which aim to draw the public’s attention to a variety of themes concerning women.
