Women's Studies and Gender Research
UNESCO launches network to support development of women's studies and gender research
 
Women's Studies and Gender Research The UNESCO Network of Women’s Studies and Gender Research (WS/GR), launched from within the Human Rights and Gender Equality Section, Social and Human Sciences Sector, is the first of its kind to involve institutions from across the globe. It aims at promoting policy oriented research on and advocacy for women’s rights and gender equality, building capacities and advancing women studies (as part of the teaching of social and human sciences), and strengthening collaboration among university/ research centers on women and gender issues across continents.
