Programme Evaluations
Evaluation of the MOST National Liaison Committees and the interdisciplinary UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs programme in the social sciences is scheduled to take place in 2005.

most.gif The purpose of the evaluations is to help the NLCs determine the best way to connect the MOST programme with researchers and decision-makers in order to bring vital knowledge to the national policy level. The evaluations will also assist the UNESCO Chairs programme in its knowledge production and ensure that its future contribution to the MOST Programme’s Phase II are issue-focused and user-driven. Ultimately, this will increase their impact and relevance in the policy making process.

The evaluations will be conducted by the MOST Secretariat and in collaboration with UNESCO’s National Commissions. Overall, the evaluations shall review the structure, operations and impact of the NLCs and the UNESCO Chairs in their respective areas.
