Human Rights-Based Approach to UN Common Country Programming Processes
A Learning Module for the Staff of UNESCO Field Offices
(Paris, 5-6 May 2005)
Objectives

The overall purpose of the proposed 2-day orientation in a human rights-based approach to programming for UNESCO Field Office staff is:
  • to further increase their awareness and knowledge of human rights-based approach to programming
  • to ensure that UNESCO’s concerns are adequately reflected in MDG-driven, CCA and UNDAF processes being undertaken at the country-level, and,
  • to assist UNESCO Field Offices’ staff playing a more active role in the MDG-driven CCA and UNDAF processes
Expected Outcomes
  • Mainstreaming human rights and human rights approach to UNESCO Field Offices’ programmes, projects and activities
  • UNESCO’s concern adequately reflected in the CCA and UNDAF
