IAAF World Anti-Doping Symposium 2006

The 2006 Edition of the Symposium will focus on the Effectiveness of the Anti-Doping Fight. It will involve administrators and participants in the sport of athletics from all around the world.

The goals of the Symposium are to: (1) Discuss and evaluate current challenges and perspectives; (2) create inputs for the 2007 World Conference on Doping in Sport; and (3) write final conclusions in a book of proceedings.

At the Symposium, Paul Marriott-Lloyd, Programme Specialist on Anti-Doping at UNESCO, will provide an overview of the International Convention against Doping in Sport and emphasise the importance of governments working in partnership with the sports movement in the fight against doping in sport.
