While providing a reflection on the sources of conflict between communities and cultures, the films present alternatives to violence and are fostering cultural dialogue.

One of the objectives of Reel Intercultural Dialogue was to provide an opportunity to cinema and television schools to let their most talented students produce content aimed at a young audience that reflects local perspectives on global issues.

UNESCO and its partner, the International Association of Film and Television Schools (CILECT), are now distributing the DVDs to local and international media as well as to various educational institutions.
