The EOLSS is a virtual library equivalent to 235 printed volumes, with contributions focusing on all aspects of sustainable development, from environmental issues to language and culture.

Coordinated and funded by Eolss Publishers, with support from UNESCO’s Science Sector, the EOLSS involves thousands of authors from 100 countries.

One of its themes addresses Linguistic Anthropology and includes articles on multilingualism and language planning, on how to document endangered languages and maintain language diversity.

Over 100 articles within the different disciplines are linked to languages. These articles are available online. Specific themes will also be available in the form of e-books.
