Digital solutions to the language divide: Asian Multilingual Thesaurus of Geosciences

The AMTG was conceived to facilitate information exchange in different languages in the CCOP (Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia) region.

The AMTG’s 5,867 geoscientific terms in English and French have been translated into Khmer, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese. The AMTG exists in CD-ROM and printed format, and the pdf file of the AMTG can be downloaded for free from the CCOP website.
