This Resource Pack tackles gender inequality, a key underlying factor that fuels HIV epidemics. It contains three papers that aim to promote a gender-enlightened and comprehensive response to HIV and AIDS.

Content: The Resource Pack includes the following practical tools and guidance:

Operational Guide: Checklists for gender and rights based approach in a) programming, b) funding support, c) communication and d) networking and advocacy. 12 tools are provided, including for vulnerability mapping, monitoring and evaluation, assessing organisational impact of HIV and assessing power in the context of HIV.

Review Paper : Provides guidance on gender sensitive programmes, transformative interventions, interventions that empower and structural elements for gender integration.

Fact Sheets : Includes sheets on gender and human rights, education, young people, violence against women, the world of work, rural development and indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
