08. How can I get involved in voluntary projects?

UNESCO does not recruit volunteers or organize volunteer programmes, work camps or exchanges. However, we believe that two aspects of voluntary service are extremely important for young people: the opportunity to actively participate in society, and the powerful potential for education. Voluntary work is a chance for young people to exercise their citizenship by working together and with others in order to contribute to human development at the local, national or international level.
