Mongolia - Support to the Temuulel Street Children Project
In 2003, UNESCO gave its support to the Oyuntulkhuur Foundation which shelters orphans and street children in a care centre and offers them a way forward through education and income-generation.

Conditions for children on the streets of Mongolian’s capital, Ulaan Baator, are particularly harsh. In winter temperatures drop to terrifying levels. The project is particularly successful in involving estranged and damaged families, reconciling them with their vagrant children and providing them with the means to improve their lives.
