El Salvador – Various projects
Various projects in El Salvador work to assist orphaned children, giving them a chance to benefit from a secure educational environment.
Prev Projects 2 of 2
In order to address the dire situation of orphaned children in El Salvador, giving them a chance for pre-school education, a place to work and a secure playground, UNESCO has acquired furniture for four study-rooms in the Sta. Tecla orphanage, located in the Sector 4 area of San Salvador. A bordering wall was also built to secure the place. An educational-recreational garden for children with AIDS was furthermore established in Zacatecoluca, and the construction of a day-care centre and kindergarten in Parroquia has begun, with an initial capacity of 40 children.
