Workshop on HIV-related Discrimination
"Mapping out responses, gaps and opportunities in African cities"
 
This workshop for Mayors, Chairs and senior officials of selected Kenyan local government authorities will be on the theme: “HIV-related discrimination: Mapping out responses, gaps and opportunities in African cities”

UNESCO, in close collaboration with UN–AMICAALL (Alliance of Mayors and Municipal Leaders on HIV in Africa) Partnership Programme, identified two leading cities in this region, Nairobi and Kigali, to serve as pilots in mapping out responses, gaps and opportunities in African cities in regard to HIV related stigma and discrimination. These activities commenced in early 2007 and fieldwork in Nairobi and Kigali will be completed in August 2008.
