UNESCO Breakfast Run
On Saturday 4 April 2009 starting at 8:30am, UNESCO staff, interns, consultants, Permanent Delegations, families and friends are invited to participate in the annual UNESCO Friendship Run.

Every year, UNESCO organizes the UNESCO Friendship Run, also called Breakfast Race, in cooperation with the Paris Marathon and the City of Paris. On Saturday 4 April, UNESCO staff and the Permanent Delegations, along with family and friends, are invited to participate in the 5.2 kilometre run. The Friendship Run will start at UNESCO Headquarters (7, Place Fontenoy, metro: Cambronne, Ségur) and ends on Avenue Foch, by the Bois de Boulogne where a light breakfast will be offered to all participants.

Along with UNESCO staff the general public will also be taking part in the run which will start at 8:30am. As it is the day before the Paris Marathon it is an excellent opportunity for professional athletes to have a warm-up run and feel the lively spirit of running alongside people from all over the world.

To participate in this event you are invited to sign up by email to sport@unesco.org citing your name and affiliation.

Participation is free of charge and open to all.

Please ensure that you have the appropriate medical clearance for this type of activity.
