Bioethics and Media. Recommendations for JournalistsThis book consists of a set of recommendations, which can be used by the journalist community as guidelines for covering issues related to bioethics in mass media.
The objectives of this manual, which is written in a simple, understandable manner are:
  1. to inform journalists about ethical issues concerning fields of medicine and healthcare,
  2. to provide information about existing documents and treaties concerning internationally agreed standards in reporting and broadcasting issues of medicine and public health,
  3. to suggesting ways of improving mutual understanding and cooperation between health care professionals and journalists in order to raise standards of publicizing the health care and medical issues,
  4. to offer information on issues of bioethics to professionals in public health care.
