World Directory of Human Rights Research and Training Institutions Human rights research and training institutions are privileged and reliable partners in the United Nations system-wide efforts to prevent and eliminate discrimination, to counter the prejudices and negative stereotypes which still nourish discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance towards those who are different. The ensuring of a meaningful follow-up of the World Conference against Racism is obviously essential in the years to come in the efforts aimed at the elimination of discrimination in its various forms and manifestations, as well as in the promotion and protection of all human rights for all without exclusion.UNESCO hopes that this edition of the World Directory, containing more than 600 entries will help to further strengthen collaboration between human rights institutions and increase their contribution to the struggle for the implementation of human rights and against discrimination. It should facilitate the creation of networks of research and training institutions in order to ensure more effective promotion and protection of human rights.
