Mr Nicholas Burnett, Assistant Director-General for Education, delivered a keynote address at the meeting, which provided the opportunity to learn more about the elements and challenges of the initiatives, to discuss linkages between them and chart the way forward for the next biennium.

Mr Burnett highlighted that the three priorities are not present in some countries, and that a key goal for the Education Sector is that “all parts of the Sector are aligned toward Education for All (EFA).”

The meeting was chaired by Mr Francisco K. Seddoh, Acting Director, Regional Bureau for Education in Africa (BREDA).
