Heather PETERS

Consultant

Coordinates Gompas and Markets "Safeguarding the Legacy of Tibetan Culture"; provides technical advice on cultural heritage management, sustainable cultural development, sustainable cultural eco-tourism and linguistically appropriate responses to HIV/AIDS and human trafficking prevention among the ethnic minority populations of the Greater Mekong Subregion, especially in southwestern China.

Area of Concentration: China with a focus on Yunnan and Sichuan.

Montira HORAYANGURA UNAKUL

Implements activities related to immovable and movable heritage, particularly World Heritage including oversee the implementation of UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards programme. Also supports programmes incorporating culture into national development strategies and programmes, particularly, the UNPAF Thailand joint partnership on Creative Economy and undertake development of culture projects and programmes, especially with a view to extra-budgetary fund-raising.

Programme Officer

Works on programmes related to cultural heritage and creativity; She is the coordinator for the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation programme and is the focal point for the UNESCO Network of Arts Education Observatories for the Asia Pacific region. Julia also works on issues related to the historic urban landscape.

Assists the Government of Lao PDR in implementing the culture-related UNESCO conventions, provides supports on capacity building projects implementing in Lao PDR as well as liaising with development partners in harmonizing the aid efforts and fund-raise for culture related activities in the country.
