The selected regional trainees who attend UNESCO's Foundation Courses will spend 2 weeks conducting site survey and monitoring and formulating site management plan from this wreck in order to develop the on-site experience which is vital to their roles as maritime archaeologists in their countries.
The Underwater Archaeology Division (UAD) discovered this site in 2008 near Mannok island, Klaeng District, Rayong Province, which is dated back to the time of King Rama VI (1880-1910). Thanks to the wreck's stable condition after retrieval of artefacts, it has been used up until today for underwater archaeology trainings by the Division.
