Skills development
In a vibrant region like Asia- Pacific, economic growth at all levels requires adequately skilled workers. Employers are increasingly seeking employees that can respond to a changing work environment and are equipped with a wide range of skills. In TVET, the focus is slowly shifting from occupation-specific skills to a holistic approach which includes skills that are not strictly TVET-related. These skills can give TVET graduates the comparative advantage and enable them to quickly adapt to a changing world of work. This section showcases some of UNESCO Bangkok’s work in the field of skills development.
