Internship Opportunities

The Natural Sciences Sector (SC), Bangkok Unit, welcomes interns to learn about UNESCO’s programmes in its Science Sector and to assist in developing programmes and implementing activities. The Unit will develop programmes related to promoting science, technology and innovation as well as using science to manage the environment in a sustainable way, including activities pertaining to the ocean,  freshwater sources as well as other natural resources, ecosystems and biodiversity.

Interns are welcomed from around the world and should be enrolled in a post-graduate degree programme or hold a degree in a field relevant to Science and Technology, Environmental Sciences or other related fields. The internship period is usually between 3-6 months.

Please note that internship opportunities are limited and are undertaken on a voluntary basis and that all expenses connected with a UNESCO internship will be borne by the trainee. 

Applications will be screened by a Programme Specialist and the Chief of the Sector in the Bangkok office on a rolling basis.   Interested candidates should submit the following documents to:intern-volunteer.bgk@unesco.org with a copy to: r.jayakumar@unesco.org
