Nepal

Efforts in Nepal to set up WS/GS first took shape in 1996 when the Padma Kanya Multiple Campus of Tribhuvan University secured approval to start a one-year post-graduate Diploma course on Women's Studies. Beginning in 2004, a Master's degree in Gender and Development will be offered, as well as the continuation of optional WS/GS courses in the sociology and anthropology departments.
