Application for participation on IV International Summer School of Journalism and Communication: “21st Century - Age of Digital Civilization. Information Literacy of Population of Kazakhstan with the Special Focus on Investing in Teenage Girls”

On 9-11 July 2016 Scientific Center of Humanitarian Research “Media Sphere” in Al-Farabi KazNU and UNFPA will organize with the support of UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office, UNDPI in Republic of Kazakhstan International Summer School in Journalism and Communication.

The purpose and objectives of the Summer School:

  • Gain knowledge and practical skills in the use of new technologies and innovative methods in the process of publication and popularization of creative ideas and informational events;
  • Learning methods and techniques how to use new technologies in the light of information and promotion of events and creative ideas;
  • Acquiring of new skills and competencies in order to achieve information equality in terms of informational literacy;
  • Exploring the creative process and laboratory skills in developing communication strategies for the target audience.

The program consists of lectures, case studies, individual and group workshops, presentations, discussions, critical analysis of actual projects and professional consultations.

The workshops consist of intensive training for three days (3 hours of a theoretical module, 3 hours of individual and group assignments, 3 hours of creative-practical tasks).

At the end of workshop all participants will receive Certificate of completion of the course.

Two working languages: Kazakh and Russian

Location of the school: Sport and Health Camp of KazNU after Al-Farabi in Issyk-Kul Lake, Bosteri, Kyrgyzstan
