Announcement of Results
UNESCO Bangkok (Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education) is pleased to announce the results for the Asia-Pacific Film/Article Contest "Skills for a Better Life," organized from August to December 2013 for the teachers and young people residing in Asia and the Pacific region.
The difference in the numbers of Winners are reflecting the higher number of submissions in Type B.

The winners of “Type A: Video/Film” are:
- Community Psychology Group in Malaysia, represented by Muhamad Nabil Farabi Shaker for “IIUM COMMUNITY AWARENESS TOWARDS STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES”.
- Jon Gane,The British School Manila in the Philippines for “Learning Power”
- The group of Shimane Chuo High School in Japan, represented by Hikaru Iwano, for “僕らならできる (We can do it)” .

They will receive a video camera for their prize.
The winners of “Type B:Written Article” are:
- Carolyne Lunga from Zimbabwe for “Critical skills of the 21st Century”
- Galileo Castillo from the Philippines for “Nexus”
- Liang Yu from China for “兼容并包,求同存异的二十一世纪 (Seeking an all-inclusive 21st Century)”[The English version will be uploaded shortly]
- Ren Wei Yip from Malaysia for “Skills for a Better Life”
- Soumitra Subinaya from India for “Skills for a Better Life”
- Urantsetseg Tsend-Ayush from Mongolia for “Secret of Being Healthy and Happy”
- Yokohama Ichigao Jr. High School in Japan represented by Rie Hirakawa, for “「学習する学校」づくりで21世紀型学校への改革 [English Version: “School Reform for the 21st Century through building a 'learning school'”]

They will receive an e-book reader for their prize.

We would like to thank all the participants in our e-contest "Skills for a Better Life". The contest was very competitive and it was a difficult task for the review panel to select the winners among so many great entries received. We hope that our e-contest can offer a place to share different perspectives and experiences on “Skills for a Better Life” across the world.
