the gathering was to increase awareness of stakeholders on the UNESCO 2005 Convention for the Protection and Promotion of Diversity of Cultural Expressions. The event was organized by UNESCO and the National College of Arts with the support of the Danish Center for Culture and Development (CKU) and in collaboration with C2D, Unicorn Black and Special Talent Exchange Programme (STEP). Participants raised crucial points aimed at integrating marginalized and minority groups such as the persons with disabilities, women and transgender community along with tapping the unlimited potential of youth in developing the creative economy of Pakistan. UNESCO and the key stakeholders stressed on the need for the ratification of the 2005 UNESCO Convention for the protection and promotion of diversity of cultural expression and urged the Government of Pakistan to develop a comprehensive and inclusive culture policy that can cater for promoting cultural diversity, cultural expressions and inclusion of all segments of the society in the creativity and development of the country. At the concluding session, the participants were invited to the art gallery, where NCA, Unicorn Black and STEP displayed their creative work and showcased the economic potential of the products by putting various items and merchandise on sale.
