World Water Week 2016

Western Europe
Stockholm, Sweden

World Water Week in Stockholm is the annual focal point for the globe’s water issues. It is organized by SIWI. This year, the theme is Water for Sustainable Growth. It is also the 20th jubilee of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. In 2015, over 3,000 individuals and close to 300 convening organizations from 130 countries participated in the Week.

Experts, practitioners, decision-makers, business innovators and young professionals from a range of sectors and countries come to Stockholm to network, exchange ideas, foster new thinking and develop solutions to the most pressing water-related challenges of today.

UNESCO-IHE will be present with a booth at the UN Water Pavillion in the exhibition area. Visit our booth (Folkets Hus, second/fourth floor - #32) and find out more about our recent activities. Visiting staff include Fritz Holzwarth (Rector ad interim), Johan van Dijk (Business Director ad interim), Uta Wehn, Vanessa de Oliveira, Maria Sorrentino and Zaki Shubber.

More information about sessions will be posted here shortly.

Are you an alumnus of UNESCO-IHE? You are most welcome to visit our booth at any time during the week. Furthermore, an alumni gathering will be organized. Send an email to alumni@unesco-ihe.org and we will send you information regarding date and time of the gathering.
