Held at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD, Nairobi, 4-8 July 2016), the training aims to enable participants to:
1. Think about educational goals and problems within their environments in a common competence framework.
2. Participate in the development of guidelines for the conception and implementation of competence based curriculum reform.
3. Develop concrete learning, teaching, and testing materials within a common competence framework.

By the end of the training, participants’ competence development will be demonstrated through various activities including the identification and description of a target competence within the participants’ contexts, the drafting of sample learning materials and assessment materials, to be jointly revised and submitted to the KICD.
